About the event

Digital Infrastructure Outsourcing Futures is an exclusive, high level, full-day forum for enterprise purchasers of colocation, cloud, managed services and other associated outsourcing services in Australia and New Zealand.

Outsourcing of the enterprise footprint to colocation, cloud, managed services or a ‘hybrid’ of these and other options accounts globally for more investment dollars than building or upgrading data centers. The former accounted for an estimated US$ 63.7bn in 2021 rising to US$ 293bn by 2030 at a CAGR of 16.47% while construction rose from around US$ 32bn in 2022 to US$ 49bn in 2030 at a CAGR of 5.4% [McKinsey]. And, it should be pointed out that virtually all construction is now accounted for by colocation and cloud providers.

Even if the rate of demand growth does not keep up with the past few years, this puts new pressures on facility and service providers to develop new development and competitive strategies.

There will continue to be demand from overseas for data center srvices in Australia as other established markets – Singapore and Japan – move closer to capacity and as local legislation pushes for data to be housed locally in Australia or New Zealand.

Digital Infrastructure Outsourcing Futures will address the key issues around this critical infrastructure decision by presenting a full-day convention which bonds the facility, IT and business streams from an enterprise perspective. The broad subject areas of the day’s keynotes, white paper presentations, expert panels, case studies and forum discussions will include:

- Marketing & Customers

- Investment & Finance

- Future Opportunities & Challenges

- Development Strategies

Speakers from both Australia and overseas will be acknowledged and recognised experts on the subjects they are asked to present or discuss. They will be drawn from both inside and outside the industry - business leaders, academic experts, analysts and commentators, best practice experts, thought leaders.  The programme will include relevant and recent case studies, a focus on business and organisational outcomes based around the processes and technologies described, workshops and forums alongside keynotes and panels. There will be a high level of interactivity in content delivery and the event will be supported by marketing and published collateral.
